Danish team celebrates its victory
Denmark won the unofficial World Culinary Championships this year. Star chef Mark Hansen and his team won the Bocuse d’Or international cooking competition in France on Monday – named after the late French master chef Paul Bocuse. “I’ve dreamed of this for 20 years,” said the 41-year-old Dane after the win.
The Swiss achieved a good 10th place
Norway landed in second place, third was the team from Hungary. Defending champions France finished fifth with Naïs Pirollet, the only woman in the final. A total of 24 teams spent two days cooking up the coveted title in a congress center near Lyon in eastern France. The Swiss team led by Christoph Hunziker made it into the top 10.
