Low-cost airline Easyjet is flying to three new resorts this summer, all offering sun, sand and sea. All routes can now be booked. The flights go twice a week. However, Easyjet does not fly to these destinations from all Swiss airports. The flights start either in Zurich, Basel or Geneva.
Larnaca is a city in eastern Cyprus. Easyjet will fly to the Greek city from Basel from March 31st. In addition to the beach and sea, Larnaca offers a salt lake and over 85 species of birds to admire.
Naples is not only known for pizza and football. The port city also has sights such as Gothic churches to offer. The volcano Vesuvius also attracts numerous tourists. With Easyjet, travelers can reach the new destination from Zurich from May 29th.
In the Spanish city of A Coruña you can admire the Tower of Hercules, the only working Roman lighthouse. The city is also known for its fine cuisine. The destination will only be served by Easyjet from Geneva, starting March 26th.
Swiss and Edelweiss have also added new destinations to their itineraries this summer. For example, travelers with Edelweiss can now fly to Akureyri, a town in northern Iceland.
In the short-haul segment, Swiss focuses on Italy. The destinations Rome, Bologna, Brindisi, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo and Venice are served a total of 161 times a week!
