Combine cure and vacation
Reka offers rehabilitation stays
The Swiss holiday provider is expanding its range of services in the medical field. Both health-promoting offers and individual rehabilitation can now be carried out in the Reka holiday villages. The family and even the dog can come along.

For a cure instead of going to a hospital in a holiday village like here in Lugano: Reka makes it possible.

Generations of Swiss people know the Reka. This stands for “Swiss Travel Fund Cooperative” – for their holiday villages and for the Reka-Checks as a means of payment. Families in particular can enjoy inexpensive holidays thanks to the Reka. Most holiday resorts are located in Switzerland, some also abroad.
From the first quarter of 2023, the Reka will be expanding its offer: Thanks to a new cooperation with the International Association for Healthy Aging (IAHA), spa guests will also be able to relax in the Reka holiday villages in future. They should be able to complete their spa stay wherever they want. And not where there is currently a free space.
This is how it is done
The IAHA makes a tailor-made offer for care, physiotherapy, support, nutrition and more to those in need of a cure. A suitable holiday apartment or a suitable hotel room is then evaluated at Reka. Partners, family members or the dog may be present during the spa stay. In this way, holidays and cures can be combined across generations. Initially, the offer is not yet available in all Reka holiday locations, but it is to be continuously expanded.
Since the IAHA has 20 cantonal Spitex permits, caring relatives and privately employed carers can be reimbursed for basic care services that are subject to health insurance. (SDA/rae)
