The real estate group announced on Sunday: «On Friday, January 20, 2023, the US Department of Justice made public a criminal complaint against Vladislav Osipov, Member of the Board of Directors of Züblin Immobilien Holding AG. Züblin is not involved in this proceeding. In order to avoid any damage to the reputation of the company, Vladislav Osipov has announced his immediate resignation from the Board of Directors.»
The person concerned cannot comment, but will use all legal means available to defend himself against the allegations of the US Department of Justice.
The US accuses the Swiss-Russian dual citizen of having helped the Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg to circumvent sanctions. Also charged in the case is a 52-year-old Briton.
The two men are accused of helping Vekselberg, a close confidant of Putin, to cover up the fact that he is the owner of the yacht Tango. The aim was to prevent the confiscation of the ship. The value of the yacht is estimated at 90 million US dollars. (SDA/gust)
