Wild drug and sex parties in the Bahamas
This woman is at the center of the crypto scandal
Caroline Ellison (29) is considered highly talented. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s alleged ex-girlfriend plays a key role in the crypto scandal.
Caroline Ellison (29) was CEO of FTX sister company Alameda.
At first, the financial scandal at the crypto exchange FTX was all about founder Sam Bankman-Fried (30). But now more and more details are coming to light. And that puts a woman in focus who has hardly been in the headlines in this country: Caroline Ellison (29). According to US media, she is said to be Bankman-Fried’s ex-girlfriend – and to be at the center of the financial scandal.
Ellison did not work directly for FTX. She was CEO of Alameda, a sister company of FTX. The company allegedly invested customer money from FTX in crypto companies – without the investors knowing about it. The US media is talking about $8 billion that is said to have flowed from FTX to Alameda. Ellison gambled – Alameda also went down in the FTX maelstrom.
sex and drug parties
Ellison is considered gifted. At the age of eight she is said to have written a scientific paper and given it to her father. According to research by crypto news portal CoinDesk, Ellison was said to have been part of the FTX and Alameda teams who lived together in a large shared flat in the Bahamas. There they celebrated regular sex parties. Ellison himself wrote about a “harem” in connection with the notorious flat share in Bahmas on social networks.
Drugs are said to have been involved in the sex parties. The Wall Street Journal reports that taking stimulants was common practice among Bankman-Fried’s entourage. Ellison tweeted last year, “There’s nothing like regular amphetamine use to realize how stupid much of normal, non-drug human experience is.”
$30 million for luxury flat share
One thing is clear: The managers of the crypto exchange FTX based in the Bahamas had a good time before the collapse – at the expense of the customers. This is evident from court documents. Bankman-Fried is said to have paid $30 million for accommodation in the Bahmas.
Caroline Ellison has not commented on the orgies and drug parties. Like Bankman-Fried, she went into hiding. (no)
