Can Asperger’s Autism be Cured?

“Silent Hours” has nothing to do with Christmas. It is the name of a pilot project in which twelve Spar branches in the cantons of Zurich and Aargau are participating (Blick reported). Twice a week, shopping in the branches is “autism-friendly” for a few hours. There’s no music, nobody makes store announcements, and the lights are dimmed.

Matthias Huber (54), psychologist and autism expert at the University Psychiatric Services in Bern, welcomes the campaign. He helps people who suffer from Asperger’s Syndrome to live with it. He is also affected by it.
