An account from the Zollikon school appeared on Tiktok over the holidays. Now it is clear: the channel was a fake.
The Tiktok account at the Buechholz secondary school in Zollikon ZH looked deceptively real. As the “Zolliker Zumiker Bote” reported, a closer look revealed that the account was a fake. Presumably from secondary school students. Among other things, modern-looking portraits of teachers were uploaded to the channel. In the comment column it had become partly defamatory.
As the head of education at the Zollikon school, Urs Rechsteiner, told the “Zolliker Zumiker Boten”, criminal charges had been filed. When asked by Blick, the school declined to comment further.
account blocked
The cantonal police in Zurich wrote that investigations into possible criminal behavior are ongoing. The Kapo couldn’t say more because the case is ongoing. The account is now blocked. But: There is already a new account on Tiktok for the same school.
Fake accounts about schools are not uncommon. There are no concrete figures, says the President of the Central Council of the Teachers’ Association, Dagmar Rösler (51). It is important that the schools take such incidents seriously and send a clear signal. “The students must also realize that such behavior crosses a red line,” says Rösler. Topics such as cyberbullying are discussed at school. Parents should also be involved so that they are informed about the “code of conduct” at school, Rösler goes on to say.
