The overlooked suffering

Melanie Goc had to suffer for 35 years until she found out by accident what made her life so difficult: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): «I somehow fought my way through my life. What others thought normal was a Herculean task for me. At some point I had self-doubt and was totally exhausted.”

People with ADHD don’t automatically filter information and thoughts, so they have to deal with larger amounts of data, which can lead to a constant feeling of being overwhelmed. According to estimates, around five percent of the population suffer from the neurological disorder.
