The winter takes it all

Even if Switzerland hardly agrees on anything before a Sunday vote: Nobody doubts that the summer is, tragically, over. For people like me, who can only conquer a mountain on the seat of their pants or, in the best case, with a stem bend (today called “pizza”), the half of the year begins that is no fun at all. Even Christmas has mutated into such a huge marketing and consumer spectacle that the celebration evokes more stress than love. Or maybe I’m just too old for Christmas.

The cold seasons are getting dreary. Autumn was ushered in with an unbelievable shock: the Queen has died – and in Great Britain only a few are thinking of finally questioning the crazy (and crazy expensive) institution of the monarchy.
