Tobogganing – fun for the whole family.
We’re going sledding this winter! And anyone who now thinks “that’s only for children” hasn’t thrown himself down the mountain on a sledge for a long time. Is there no snow or the right hill behind the house? Then it’s high time to try one of the many toboggan runs in Switzerland.
We asked you about your favorite toboggan runs. These are your tips.
“Fox run”, Wengen BE
Recommended by Blick reader Rolf
«From Wengen you take the Wengernalpbahn to Wengernalp or to Kleine Scheidegg. […] If you drive at normal speed, you can just catch the next train to Wengernalp at the bottom […] You can sled all day long until your runners burn and you can almost race the track.”
Begin: Wengernalp train station
Goal: Wengen BE
Length: 4.5 kilometers
Difficulty level: medium
Season: open from 26.11.22 to 16.04.23 (depending on the snow situation)

Sarn-Heinzenberg, Graubünden Canton

«Ideal in length (3.8 km) and steepness for young and old. Up with the chairlift, stop off at the middle station and then straight onto the toboggan run. In addition to the toboggan run, there is also a toboggan run. Perfect, daily preparation of both webs. And all this at a very reasonable price. In addition, there is a wonderful panoramic view over many of the Graubünden mountains and the very beautiful Heinzenberg/Domleschg valley.»

«A beautiful area! You take the gondola up and enjoy the snowy landscape with a five-minute walk to the toboggan run. From there it goes down the very well developed and about three kilometer long slope. The toboggan run is a bit demanding, but is also easy for kids to master. The price for gondola and sledge rental is also very family-friendly. During my visits to the toboggan run, I never noticed a huge rush or “traffic jam” on the piste. My favorite!”
Begin: Weissenberge
Goal: Matte GL
Length: 3 kilometers
Difficulty level: medium
