Berken is a tiny community in the administrative district of Oberaargau in the canton of Bern. The village is just 1.39 km2 large and accommodates 45 inhabitants. Despite its size, the municipality has a relatively large range of clubs and restaurants.
2. Rebévelier BE
Rebévelier is a small German-speaking farming village in the north of the canton of Bern. The municipality covers 3.55 km2 and had just 41 inhabitants at the end of 2018. Even today, the village lives mainly from agriculture.

Schelten is the northernmost municipality in the canton of Bern. It is located in the north-east and directly on the language border. The municipality is therefore bilingual and was officially called La Scheulte until 1914. Today has the 5.56 km2 large community with a population of 36 people.

Bister is the smallest municipality in the canton of Valais. It is located in the north-east of the canton and is part of the Ostlich Raron district. The political municipality has a size of 5.81 km2 and is home to 33 residents.

Kammersrohr is a tiny municipality in the district of Lebern SO. The village is just 0.95 km2 large and had a total of 28 inhabitants at the end of 2018. The village was founded in the Middle Ages and originally consisted of only one farm, which did not belong to any municipality. Several attempts have already been made to unite Kammersrohr with other communities. But the congregations could never agree.
6. Corippo TI
Corippo is a municipality in the Verzasca Valley. For a long time it was considered one of the smallest communities in Switzerland. The village is home to only 11 residents in an area of 7.7 km2. Just last year, on October 18, 2020, the municipality united with the former municipalities of Brione, Cugnasco Gerra, Frasco, Lavertezzo, Sonogno and Vogorno to form the new municipality of Verzasca.
7. Zumdorf UR
Zumdorf in the south of Uris is considered the smallest village in Switzerland. Only three people live here, the Schmid family of three. The father and his two sons run a restaurant there together. Otherwise there are only two cottages and a chapel in the village. The village once had more inhabitants. But since a bad avalanche and the constant danger of avalanches, many have moved out of the village.
