Tips for ski clothing
You have to consider this when buying and wearing ski boots
The right equipment should not be missing on a successful day of skiing. Here you can find out which points you should pay attention to when buying, putting on and storing ski boots.

In order to have a good grip when skiing, you need the right ski boot.
Ski boots can cause many problems. For example, if you can’t get in when you put them on, if they don’t fit properly or leave bruises, blisters or muscle cramps.
With the choice of ski boots and the right care, you can prevent these problems.
You should pay attention to this when buying
If you go to a ski shop, it is best to bring your own ski socks. Most stores also have ski socks on site for you to try on the boots with.
After slipping in, the buckles are closed from bottom to top. Shoes should not be adjusted to the tightest possible fit, as they will expand later with use. You must then be able to tighten them even further.
When trying it on, you should feel the front end of the ski boot when standing up. This has to be because when you ski you bend your knees and your foot is then pushed away from the front end. When trying on a shoe, you should bend your knees and move back and forth a little.
Open buckles fully and close properly
To put them on, open your shoes as wide as possible and step into them while standing. After you have closed the buckles, you can improve the hold by moving your knees and, if necessary, tighten the buckles even more.
Choose the right ski socks
So that you don’t freeze and have a good grip when skiing, you need the right ski socks. They should be the right size and fit for your feet. Because many people wear ski boots that are too big, ski socks with the right thickness are very important. Otherwise, you slip around in your shoes and use more energy.
How to store ski boots correctly
Ski boots should never get wet on the inside. Because the moisture is absorbed by the inner shell of the shoe and is difficult to get out again. This causes problems when putting on the ski boot and promotes an unpleasant odor.
After skiing, you should therefore clean your shoes inside and out so that as little snow residue as possible remains on them. The inside can be left to dry at home next to the heater. If there is a lot of moisture, stuffing with newspaper and kitchen paper helps.
When should ski boots be changed?
A ski boot usually lasts for seven years or around 100 days of skiing. At this time, the material of the shoe is still of good quality and it gives good support.
After a while, the shell becomes hard and brittle. Then it’s time for the shoe to be changed. Otherwise the shell may break or a buckle may fall out. If in doubt, you can have your ski boots checked for quality by an expert at a ski shop.
