An American (38) is said to have attacked and injured two men in different places in the city of Zurich on Wednesday. The city police arrested the alleged perpetrator shortly after 11:30 a.m. in District 4.
The man is said to have injured a 23-year-old with a stabbing weapon on the upper body at around 9.45 a.m. on Hardturmstrasse in the area of the Fischerweg tram stop. The attacked had to be operated on in the hospital, as the city police announced.
Almost an hour later, the police received another report: an unknown person had attacked a 22-year-old man on Schweizergasse near the Pestalozzi facility, slightly injuring him.
After initial investigations and the descriptions of the perpetrators received, the police do not rule out the possibility that the attacker is the same in both cases.
