At 200 km/h through the 80 zone
Bosnian streamed speeding through Aargau on Facebook
With a BMW, a Bosnian in the canton of Aargau put his foot down. He drove way too fast twice and streamed his crazy rides on Facebook. For this, the man has now been tried at the Bremgarten District Court.

He doesn’t know why he did that. “I regret it and swear never to do it again,” said the Bosnian (37) from Baden AG in front of the Bremgarten district court, as reported by the “Aargauer Zeitung”.
In February 2022 he raced in a BMW 535d at around 200 km/h from Anglikon to Dottikon in the canton of Aargau. Only 80 km/h are allowed there.
He captured the whole thing on his cell phone and streamed the crazy ride on Facebook. Apparently he was in a speed frenzy afterwards. Only shortly afterwards did he press the gas too hard again. He drove from Aristau to Hermetschwil-Staffeln, this time at 135 km/h – and again with his mobile phone in his hand to film himself.
“You can hardly be more stupid”
The prosecutor could not understand that the Bosnian recorded the speeding with his smartphone and even published it on Facebook. At the trial he said: “You can hardly be more stupid.” However, he credited him with confessing.
Even the judge was stunned. “With this trip you have endangered other, completely bystanders. For a trivial reason. And you’re bragging about the little film on the internet.” The father of the family was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence of 16 months for speeding and filming behind the wheel. There are also two fines totaling CHF 1,700.
The driver’s license had already been withdrawn from the young father. His employer had also given him notice and the BMW was confiscated. According to his own statements, the Bosnian sold it as soon as the authorities released it. (twa)
