Charges filed for knife attack in Lugano TI

On November 24, two women were stabbed in a Manor chain store in Lugano TI. The Office of the Attorney General (BA) has now filed charges against a Swiss citizen (29) residing in the canton of Ticino with the Federal Criminal Court, according to a statement.

The suspect is mainly charged with attempted murder and violating the Al-Qaeda/IS law. The BA accuses her of acting with the aim of killing her victims and committing an act of terrorism in the name of IS. According to the indictment, the accused acted intentionally and with particular unscrupulousness.
