Fire in apartment – ​​fire department finds dead

On Tuesday morning, around 2.30 a.m., there was a fire in an apartment building on Langfeldstrasse in Gerlafingen SO. Several people from the surrounding apartments and the affected unit had to be evacuated.

During the extinguishing work, a lifeless man was found in the affected apartment. According to initial findings, this is the tenant of the apartment. The cantonal police in Solothurn have initiated investigations into the cause of the fire and death. (chs)
