Fire alarm on Saturday morning early! Shortly after 4.05 a.m., the Bern cantonal police received a report of a fire in a farmhouse in Staulern in Wasen BE. The building was in full fire when the rescue workers arrived and was completely destroyed, as the kapo writes in a media release.
Six people were able to get out of the farmhouse in the Emmental in good time. A woman was seriously injured. A Rega crew flew her to the hospital, where she is currently in critical condition. Four other people were slightly injured.
The farmhouse was no longer part of the farm. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire and the amount of property damage. (abbot)
