The former restaurant Löwen is on fire in Erlinsbach, Solothurn. The historic building used as a residence, which dates back to the 13th century, is a listed building.
The police received the emergency call around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday evening. According to the police, eight people lived in the building. Four are currently being looked after by the municipal authorities, said Bruno Gribi, media spokesman for the Solothurn cantonal police, to Blick on request.

Gribi does not want to speculate about the whereabouts of the alleged four other people. “We don’t know where four people are at the moment,” says Gribi. Investigations are in progress. It’s the holiday season. An ambulance is ready.
130 firefighters from the neighboring canton of Aarau are on duty, and this continues. The extinguishing work turns out to be difficult. According to Gribi, there is a risk of collapse.
