The new record holder is the Jura canton capital of Delsberg with 20.2 degrees. The previous record holder on the north side of the Alps was the city of Lucerne. 19.4 degrees were measured there on January 12, 1993.
The record for Switzerland is 24 degrees. These record values were set in Ticino. According to Meteo News, other stations are likely to break their respective January records in the course of the afternoon.
