January all-time record broken for the north side of the Alps

In Delsberg JU more than 20 degrees were measured on Sunday.

That’s never happened in Switzerland. For the first time since measurements began, more than 20 degrees were measured on the north side of the Alps in January. That writes Meteo News.

The new record holder is the Jura canton capital of Delsberg with 20.2 degrees. The previous record holder on the north side of the Alps was the city of Lucerne. 19.4 degrees were measured there on January 12, 1993.
