In December 2022, an 800-kilogram gin scoop mysteriously disappeared from the bottom of Lake Constance. Despite numerous searches, there is still no trace of the ball. Kapo Thurgau has now stopped the investigation.

In December last year, a mysterious theft at the bottom of Lake Constance made headlines. An 800-kilogram ball filled with 230 liters of gin was suddenly gone. To the amazement of the owners – the ball was several meters under water and was attached to a concrete base.

All searches were unsuccessful. The owner assumed that thieves had struck. He was shocked: “They were absolute professionals,” says Cello Fisch, the managing director of Ginial, a gin manufacturer.
