In Switzerland, 27 suspected members of a drug ring that is said to have operated from the canton of Lucerne have been arrested. A total of 14.5 kilograms of cocaine, eight kilograms of heroin, three kilograms of marijuana and 30 kilograms of artificial drugs were seized. The public prosecutor’s office of the canton of Lucerne announced on Monday that suspected drug money in the amount of CHF 160,000 had also been seized.

The drug ring is a criminal Albanian group that was active in the international narcotics trade from April 2020 to March 2021, the public prosecutor said. Those responsible imported large quantities of drugs into Switzerland and sold them on.
