The Bern cantonal police were reported shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday about a serious accident at work in the Oberbottigen-Riedbach district in Bern. According to current information, a man (25) was loading a farm loader with feed on a farm when, for reasons that have yet to be clarified, a silo bale that was in the feed depot came loose and fell on him.
According to a statement from the cantonal police in Bern, third parties took care of the seriously injured man. An ambulance team that went out immediately then took over the medical first aid and took him to the hospital in critical condition.
The man succumbed to his injuries there that evening. The deceased is Swiss from the canton of Bern.
