Large-scale operation in Basel: As reported by “20 Minuten”, the Basel cantonal police cleared an apartment building occupied by queer and trans people in Basel’s Gellert district on Wednesday morning.

The group, which has dubbed itself the “wild horde of queer and trans people,” occupied the house for a week. On Wednesday morning at around 7.30 a.m., the emergency services put an end to the occupation of the building at Hardstrasse 99.

The cantonal police in Basel-Stadt confirmed a corresponding operation on request from Blick. A large contingent was on site. (dzc)
