The Baden city police carried out a speed check on Fislisbacherstrasse in Baden-Rütihof AG early on Sunday evening. In urban areas there is a maximum speed of 30 km/h. Shortly before 8 p.m., the measuring device detected a car that was driving towards Fislisbach at 94 km/h.
After deducting the legal tolerance, the result is a punishable speed limit of 59 km/h. Because the driver thus fulfilled the so-called speeding offense, the city police notified the public prosecutor’s office. This opened a criminal investigation as a result.
The Aargau cantonal police have taken over the case and will show the driver and take away his driver’s license, according to a statement. As spokesman Bernhard Graser explains on request, the offending driver is a 38-year-old Portuguese. (noo)
