Before the act, there were a number of threats
According to the indictment, Baran T. and Sandra F. met in November 2013 on an Internet dating site. The love affair consisted of constant ups and downs. In May 2015, their daughter was born. After Sandra F. had survived several operations, her mother Julia Z. moved from Turkey to Switzerland at the beginning of 2019 to support her and lived with her.
Only: Baran T. did not agree with his mother moving in. Julia Z. didn’t want the Iraqi to come into her daughter’s apartment. There were always arguments. The Iraqis are said to have threatened violence. In July 2019 he threatened Julia Z. with the words “break it” and gave Sandra F. a slap in the face.
Baran T. received evictions
At the beginning of August 2019, Sandra F. informed him that she wanted to finally separate. She also filed a complaint against Baran T. He is said to have insulted her in several text and voice messages. The Iraqi was arrested and released a day later. The authorities ordered a deportation from Sandra F.’s place of residence. She cut off contact.
About two weeks later, Baran T. stopped the two women and their daughter Joya at a bus stop, according to the indictment. On the way to the center of Brugg, he is said to have sat down with them on the bus and tried to strike up a conversation – without success.
He threw Joya to the ground twice
When the two women and their daughter got off the bus at the train station, Baran T. is said to have taken his daughter by the hand and run down the stairs to the Neumarkt underpass. His ex-girlfriend is said to have pointed out to him that he was not allowed to see their daughter alone. Julia Z. also got involved and instructed Sandra F. to take care of Joya. She believed Baran T. would take the daughter away. According to the indictment, the Iraqi responded by saying: “What did that old bitch say?”
Daughter Joya is said to have refused to go with her father. A dispute then broke out between Baran T. and the women, with consequences: According to the indictment, Baran T. felt offended. He then lifted his daughter by the waist over his head and threw her head first onto the ground with full force. When the women wanted to intervene, he picked up Joya’s legs again and threw her on the ground a second time, it is said.
Drugstore employees brought Joya to safety
The employee of a nearby drugstore observed the fact. She ran to Joya and took the girl to safety at the drugstore. At the same time, two passers-by pushed Baran T. back. Joya suffered severe craniocerebral trauma and multiple skull fractures. Today she is said to have recovered from it.
In addition to 20 years in prison, the public prosecutor’s office is demanding an unconditional fine of 1,800 francs and an outpatient measure for Baran T. In addition, the previously convicted Iraqi, who is serving an early sentence, is to be expelled from the country for 15 years after serving his sentence.
