A semi-truck crashed into a lighting candelabra in Risch-Rotkreuz ZG.
A Czech (35) crashed his semi-trailer vehicle in the canton of Zug on Tuesday afternoon and caused damage costs of CHF 30,000.
As the Zug police write, at 3 p.m. he was on Birkenstrasse in Risch-Rotkreuz in the general direction of Rotkreuz station. Then the man noticed that he was driving the wrong way and looked for a turning spot.
He was apparently so distracted by this that he missed a lighting candelabra on the right-hand side of the road and crashed into it.
Fines of several hundred francs
The lighting candelabra was bent over as a result of the collision and the semi-trailer motor vehicle was affected. The damage balance: various engine damage, a torn off front bumper, a broken lighting system and a broken right axle suspension. The total property damage is around 30,000 francs.
The vehicle had to be recovered and taken away. The chauffeur had to pay a fine of several hundred francs. (man)
