The first wolf in the canton of Zurich after more than a hundred years had a short life. The young animal was run over by a train in Schlieren in 2014. The animal can now be seen as a specimen in the Zoological Museum.

The “Schlieremer Wolf” was handed over to the Zoological Museum of the University of Zurich on Friday by building director Martin Neukom (Greens), as the building management announced. The specimen will be given a place in the collection of native wildlife.
