Vandals drifted across the sports field in Lohn. This causes anger among the residents.
Trouble is spreading in the village of Lohn SH, which has 763 souls. The reason: Vandals have damaged the local sports field. Pictures are doing the rounds on social networks: “Simply speechless,” writes a user on Facebook. “We are dismayed,” reads another post.
What happened? Unknown vandals drove a vehicle across the snow-covered Wase football pitch, causing severe damage. More than 100 juniors are suffering from this damage, writes a board member of a regional football club on Facebook.
The Schaffhausen police confirmed on Blick request that a complaint had been filed. “The Schaffhausen police are now investigating this case,” says media spokesman Patrick Caprez. So far, no suspects have been arrested.
Not the first action
This is the second case of vandalism within a short period of time in the Schaffhausen village. Last week, three of the four place-name signs were removed and stolen, the community said. (bab)
