Wildlife park slaughters wild boars for its own restaurant

There are currently too many animals in the St. Gallen wildlife park Peter and Paul. That’s why you have to kill your own wild boar and deer. Their meat is served in the restaurant just next to the park.

Too many wild boars are currently living in the St. Gallen wildlife park.

In addition to deer, marmots, forest cats and ibexes, there are also numerous wild boars in the St. Gallen wildlife park Peter and Paul. But right now there are too many of them on the premises. Ten animals have to go. Two wild boars could be passed on to another park. The rest must be slaughtered.

“Of course, the goal is always that the animals don’t have to die,” says Regula Signer, park warden at the Peter and Paul wildlife park, to FM1Today. Unfortunately, it is not possible to place all animals with other institutions.
