On Wednesday afternoon, there was an incident at the Zug police dog kennel. A police officer was in the kennel with three service dogs when the object was suddenly shot at. This is reported by the cantonal police in Zug. The impact of the projectile was in the immediate vicinity of the police officer.
The officer and another policewoman, who was nearby with her service dog, went to safety in the dog kennel. Like the dogs, they were unharmed. Other police officers, who moved out after the shot, brought the two police officers to safety.
Extensive forensics
Police officers and service dogs were unharmed. In the course of the investigation, the culprit, a man, was found a short time later and temporarily arrested. He stated that an incorrect manipulation during the unloading control had led to this shot being fired.
The forensic service of the Zug police, in cooperation with the Zurich Forensic Institute (FOR), has carried out an extensive collection of evidence. The public prosecutor’s office of the canton of Zug has opened a criminal investigation and is conducting further investigations. (zis)
