The Ukrainian military repeatedly fends off attacks by kamikaze drones.
It is not the first time that Swiss parts in drones used in the Ukraine war have been reported. This time the focus of the reporting: the Iranian drones of the type Shahed 136.
Do the notorious kamikaze drones also have Swiss parts? The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) made a statement to the Russian state news agency Ria Novosti.
Iran probably bought drone parts
Seco spokesman Fabian Mayenfisch makes it clear: “There were no deliveries of such industrial goods from Switzerland to Iran.”
Exports from Switzerland are prohibited by sanctions. The goods are usually produced in third countries and sold worldwide. It must therefore be assumed that these goods were bought by Iran on the world market.
In connection with Iran’s military support for Russia, which is mainly in the form of drones, Switzerland has joined the EU sanctions against four people and four companies.

Including components from Switzerland. The report cites an assessment by the Ukrainian secret service as the source.
Information about Swiss components in aircraft used in the war in Ukraine keeps coming to light. As early as July 2022, SonntagsBlick reported on Russian Orlan-10 drones, whose GPS chip is manufactured in Switzerland. (nad)
