A 20-year-old was behind the wheel. On Rennimattstrasse, his car touched the right-hand curb for an unclear reason. According to the police, the vehicle was catapulted into the air, flew across the street, hit the opposite sidewalk and took off again.
The car then crashed first into the concrete stairs of a property and then head-on into a house before it came to a stop. The force of the impact ripped out the engine block and gearbox and caught fire. The fire brigade extinguished the burning engine.
A third person pulled the passenger out of the car. The driver had to be removed from the vehicle by the fire service. Both men were taken to the hospital. (SDA)
