The Aargau cantonal police caught several drunk drivers on Sunday morning.
During a major check, the Aargau cantonal police caught a total of five people driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol on Sunday morning. Particularly curious: A car was stopped twice by the two officers.
On the A1 in Neuenhof, the police officers first stopped three drivers with too much alcohol in their blood. The police also stopped a 19-year-old. He is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs. A blood and urine sample was ordered.
Emergency call alerts police to drunk drivers
That was the end of the journey for all four. Two had to hand in their driving licenses on the spot.
A little later, around 9 a.m., the police received an emergency call. Witnesses had noticed the unsafe driving of a vehicle in the Klingnau region. The car was stopped shortly afterwards at the Koblenz border crossing.

30-year-old must hand in his driving license
It had already been checked in Neuenhof and the driver had been drunk. A passenger took over the wheel. His alcohol test was also positive. The 30-year-old then lost his driver’s license.
The Aargau canton police appealed to road users to leave the vehicle in doubt. (nad)
