Confederation helps people who have been illegally adopted in Switzerland

Justice Minister Karin Keller-Sutter, St. Gallen Government Councilor Fredy Fässler as President of the Conference of Cantonal Justice and Police Directors (KKJPD) and Sarah Ineichen, President of “Back to the Roots”, the interest group of adoptees from Sri Lanka, signed a corresponding agreement on Monday in Bern.

The three-year pilot project as part of Switzerland’s migration partnership with Sri Lanka runs retrospectively from January 1 of this year to December 31, 2024, as stated in a joint statement by the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) and “Back to the Roots ».
