Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu and his Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov also agreed on quick training for Ukrainian soldiers on how to operate the AMX-10 RC tanks. The ministry did not provide any information on how many tanks should go to Ukraine.
Paris had promised Kyiv deliveries of the wheeled armored vehicle last week. The heavily armed scout tank is mainly used for reconnaissance. Shortly after the announcement from France, Germany and the USA also announced that they wanted to send Marder and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
Russia invaded Ukraine last February. Kyiv is almost entirely dependent on Western arms supplies for defense and attempts at reconquest.
