No slump in consumption at fashion group Hugo Boss
The Hugo Boss fashion group defied high inflation in the past financial year and significantly increased sales and earnings. The company recorded strong momentum in the fourth quarter, as Hugo Boss announced on Tuesday in Metzingen.

During this period, the group’s sales increased by 18 percent to almost 1.1 billion euros and exceeded the one billion mark for the first time in one quarter. The operating result at EBIT level increased by four percent to 104 million euros.
In the year as a whole there was no sign of a declining consumer mood at Hugo Boss. According to preliminary figures, sales increased by 31 percent to 3.65 billion euros. EBIT jumped by 47 percent to 335 million euros. The fashion group thus exceeded its forecast, which was only raised in November. Hugo Boss intends to present the balance sheet for the financial year including net income on March 9th.
