A driver (45) lost control of his car near Röschenz BL on Friday afternoon and crashed head-on into a rock face. He had to be taken to the hospital by Rega. The car was totaled.

The 45-year-old driver lost control of his car and crashed head-on into the rock face on the left-hand side of the road.
According to the findings of the Basel-Landschaft police so far, the 45-year-old driver drove on Challstrasse in the direction of the Challpass.
In a left turn, the driver lost control of his vehicle for reasons that have not yet been fully clarified, crossed the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the rock face on the left-hand side of the road.
Brought to the hospital by Rega
The car was thrown back onto the road by the impact and rolled over onto the roof, the Basel-Landschaft police said on Saturday. The driver was seriously injured in the accident and was rescued from the car by firefighters. He was finally taken to a hospital by Rega.
