As part of an upcoming succession plan, the decision was made to take over the long-standing partner company from founder and owner John Foster, according to a statement on Friday. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Skytech Inc. was reportedly founded in 1976 and specializes in service provision and aircraft sales. The company has two locations in the US states of Maryland and South Carolina.
The “Skytech” brand should remain and the previous Skytech CEO, Justin Lazzeri, will continue to run the company. As an independent company, Skytech will continue to be responsible for customer service and sales of the PC-24 and PC-12 aircraft types on the East Coast, as well as aircraft types from other manufacturers.
With this acquisition, Pilatus is expanding its direct involvement in the US market, which is very important for the company. With Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd, the company has had a subsidiary based in Colorado for 26 years.
