Around two weeks after possible corona leaks became known, Ringier’s board of directors set up a working group to develop a “journalistic mission statement” for the group. At the same time, he is “unreservedly” behind CEO Marc Walder (57).
In the mission statement, “the journalistic management principles” within the group should be anchored “even more explicitly”, Ringier said on Saturday at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. “Switzerland at the weekend” had previously reported on internal consequences for Walder
.
The working group is headed by the head of the “Blick” group, Ladina Heimgartner (42). She is scheduled to submit a proposal to the Board of Directors by the end of February. He will then discuss and approve the mission statement in March. The editors-in-chief are committed to the mission statement. Publisher Michael Ringier (73) is responsible for the overall journalistic management. (SDA/chs)
