Weather hinders search for missing actor Julian Sands

Bad weather has hampered the search for British Hollywood star Julian Sands in California. Because of the risk of avalanches and the poor condition of the hiking trails, the search on the ground had to be stopped.

The search by helicopter and drone should continue “as soon as the weather permits,” the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday. If the weather improves, search parties should be deployed again.

Sands, who became known for his role in “Room with a View”, among other things, has been missing since hiking at Mount San Antonio in California at the end of last week. The 65-year-old is an experienced mountain hiker, having crossed the Andes in the 1990s.
