For the Valais Tschuggers, no stone has been left unturned. Thanks to therapy, Bax said goodbye to being a Tschugger and started a moderately successful new life as a smoothie courier in Bern. Pirmin (Dragan Vujic) enjoys parenthood with his wife Regina (Lena Furrer).
But the past gives them no peace: a hidden will and two murders destroy the peace that has been established and awaken the dormant criminal instincts in Bax and Pirmin to new life.
Hunted on suspicion of murder, Bax flees back to Valais and follows the trail of a conspiracy that leads him and his friends into the innermost circle of the Swiss secret services.
3: Where can I find the trailer for the third season of “Tschugger”?
4: What does the word “Tschugger” mean?
“Tschugger” means something like scout and comes from Rotwelschen, once a kind of secret language for the socially excluded. Contrary to popular opinion, the term probably has nothing to do with the municipality of Tschugg in the Bernese Seeland with almost the same name. Linguists consider this word similarity to be coincidental.
The Basel police even provide an explanation of the terms on their website. In the Rhine city, however, it is called “Schugger”. For a long time, “Tschugger” was considered a swear word and an insult to officials. Nowadays, the police officers usually take it easy when you call them that.
