According to a fashion blog, Princess Charlène spent 740,000 euros on dresses last year. She tops the rankings.
Royals are always stylish in public. But they also dig deep into their pockets for this. The fashion website UFO No More deals intensively with royal fashion. Now she has taken a close look at how royal women spent on their outfits over the last year. A member of a royal family paid a particularly high sum.
According to the website, Princess Charlène (44) of Monaco spent the most on her clothes. The amount is around 740,000 euros. This amounts to spending around 2000 euros per day. Second place is taken by Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece (26). With around 228,000 euros, she didn’t even spend a third of Charlène’s sum.
Duchess Meghan only sixth
The first British royal woman made it to third place: It is Duchess Kate (40) with 217,000 euros. Duchess Meghan (41), on the other hand, only takes sixth place with 106,000 euros. But she also made far fewer public appearances than Kate. Between the two are Princess Sofia of Sweden (38) with 164,000 euros and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg (66) with 134,000 euros.
The top ten is Queen Mathilde of Belgium (49) with 103,000 euros, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark (50) with 92,000 euros, and the two Britons Countess Sophie von Wessex (57) and Princess Beatrice (34) each 87’000 euros completed. (bsn)
