Jill Lange’s “DSDS” appearance is a topic of conversation.
RTL comes back in the scandal surrounding Dieter Bohlen (68). In the last few days, the head of the jury has made the headlines because he devalued candidate Jill Lange (22) in front of the camera. The German has already taken part in trash TV formats such as “Ex on the Beach” and “Are You The One?” part and Bohlen asked: “Did you do anything normal? Or did you just have Abi and let yourself be noodled through?”
Lange then turned to her followers in a tearful statement: “Dieter has become personal. Not everything was shown there.” The first version already showed how he asked Lange’s partner, whom she met on a trash TV format, in front of the camera. Instead of asking Lars Maucher (26) the same questions, he wanted to know how he dealt with his girlfriend’s TV sex.
Criticism of Bohlen’s questions: “Do you still want to bang your way around when you’re 30?”(00:59)
Now RTL has apparently come to an understanding. After the sexist scenes had been shown in the version on the RTL+ streaming service for days, they were cut from the TV version on Wednesday. In the new version, TV viewers only see how Bohlen describes the formats as “crap”.
RTL didn’t actually want to censor
The censorship of the “DSDS” flagship comes as a surprise. On Tuesday, RTL said at the request of “Bild”: “In the context of the discussion about Jill’s dating show experiences, we saw no reason to cut the dialogue from the show. (…) Jill could have left the competition at any time if she felt she was being treated unfairly – but she didn’t do that.”

But behind the scenes it should seethe. According to information from “Bild” there should be a big crisis meeting. The station bosses are discussing whether a clear statement against sexism is needed – or whether Bohlen should even apologize publicly. Recently, however, he made it clear that he thinks absolutely nothing of it.
Jill Lange is not satisfied
Meanwhile, Jill Lange comments on the adapted program on Instagram. She says: “I think it’s blatant that there must first be a scandal that something like this is cut out.” Nevertheless, she would have hoped for more from RTL and Bohlen. “There was no apology or insight. It was just cut out like nothing had ever happened.” She didn’t even know what else to say about it.
It remains exciting: Because although Dieter Bohlen also criticized the singing of the trash TV star, she made the leap into the recall. Will she soon be the first “DSDS” winner who managed to put the pop titan in its place? (bnr)
