“Even a vibrator was examined”
Drug raid on jungle camper Markus Mörl
At the beginning of 2023, singer Markus Mörl wants to provide gas and fun with “I’m a star – get me out of here”. This despite the fact that he and his wife are still suffering from the effects of a drug raid on their home.

Markus Mörl moves to the RTL jungle camp in January.
With his “Neue Deutsche Welle” hit “I want fun”, singer Markus Mörl (63) became known in the 80s. After it became quiet about the German, he wants to prove himself in the jungle camp in 2023.
What will certainly also come up around the campfire is an incident from last year that still affects Mörl and his wife Yvonne König (51) today. After an anonymous tip, so “Bild” wants to know, the Limburg public prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation into “illegal cultivation of narcotics” against the singer. The result was a house search at Mörl and his wife.
«Thought it was hidden camera»
In their absence, five police officers stormed the couple’s home, turning it upside down. Markus Mörl reports on the incident: “I got a call from a commissioner that they were just standing in front of my door with a search warrant and had to break the lock straight away.” He was suspected of running a cannabis plantation in his basement, the singer continued. “At first I thought it was a hidden camera, but it was serious.” Mörl then guided the officials through the patio door into the house. He had nothing to hide.
The police then searched the basement of the house and the bedroom of Markus Mörl and Yvonne König. “They even rummaged through Yvonne’s underwear, everything was scattered on the floor. They even examined a vibrator. We then immediately threw it away. I’m just wondering how you’re supposed to hide a cannabis plantation in a bedroom drawer, »jokes the soon-to-be jungle camper cynically.
An anonymous tip triggered a raid
A single anonymous letter triggered the investigation and the search of the house. It said: “Markus Mörl grew drugs in the basement.” The letter was thrown in by an unknown person at the police station in Limburg. The process dragged on for months before it was finally discontinued.
The Neue Deutsche Welle star is pissed off: “It’s completely absurd. I have nothing to do with drugs, I hardly drink alcohol.” For his wife, Yvonne König, the events were even more traumatic, she says. “When we got back to the apartment, I felt like I had been burgled. I had a nervous breakdown and burst into tears! This incident triggered a constant cleaning compulsion in me. »
Her husband is still stunned. “It’s just scary how quickly you can get targeted by the police just by anonymous denunciation,” says Mörl. To date, the couple have received no compensation or apology from the authorities, who “stormed into their booth without a shred of evidence.” “It’s just not possible!” (grb)
