Worrying news from Greece: According to Greek media reports, the former King Constantine II (82) has suffered another stroke. He is said to be in critical condition and has been in intensive care at a hospital in Athens for a few days.
There is still no official confirmation from the ex-royal family. His five children living abroad, Alexia (57), Paul (55), Nikolaos (53), Theodora (39) and Philippos (36) are now in Greece and his wife, ex-Queen Anne-Marie is also with them him. His two sisters, Princess Irene (80) and Queen Sofia (84), are also expected.
Konstantin has not been doing well for a long time
Constantine of Greece has been struggling with his health for a long time. Konstantin suffered a stroke in 2021. He also had pneumonia and pulmonary edema last year and became seriously ill with Corona.
Actually, the members of the Greek royal family are no longer real royals. The monarchy in Greece ended in a referendum in 1973. At the time, 70 percent voted against a royal leader. However, Constantine II continues to call himself king, although he does not rule over any realm. (bsn)
