His fans can breathe easy! After his horror accident, Marvel star Jeremy Renner (51) was able to leave the hospital again. In a tweet he writes that he watched the new episode of his series “Mayor of Kingstown” at home with his family.
Jeremy Renner did not reveal any more about his state of health. The gossip portal “Radar Online” recently reported an imminent leg amputation – and that recovery could take up to two years.
Accident on New Year’s Day
According to the police in the district of Washoe County (US state of Nevada), Renner was run over by his own snow groomer on New Year’s Day. At a press conference, Sheriff Darin Balaam spoke of a “tragic accident”. After heavy snowfall in the mountain region near Lake Tahoe, a member of the Renners family got stuck in a car on a private road. The actor freed the car from the snow masses with his caterpillar vehicle.
Then he got out, but the heavy device started moving again. The accident happened when trying to get back into the driver’s seat, Balaam said. The investigation would still be ongoing.
He was in intensive care
Renner was taken to a nearby clinic by helicopter. He suffered a “blunt trauma” in the chest area and “orthopedic injuries,” said his spokesman team. His condition was described as critical but stable. After an operation, he was treated in the intensive care unit, it said.
