The actor had to undergo surgery and was placed in intensive care. The log of the emergency call, which is available to “TMZ”, now shows how serious his injuries were.
It states that Renner could be heard moaning in the background of the call. He had severe bleeding from his head and other unknown injuries. The report also describes the accident. Renner was “completely crushed” by his caterpillar vehicle and had “extreme difficulty” in breathing. Sheriff Darin Balaam of the Washoe County Police Department (US state of Nevada) spoke at a press conference on Tuesday of a “tragic accident”. After heavy snowfall in the mountain region near Lake Tahoe, a member of the Renners family got stuck in a car on a private road. The actor freed the car from the snow masses with his snow groomer. Then he got out, but the heavy device started moving again. The accident happened when trying to get back into the driver’s seat, Balaam said. The investigation would still be ongoing.
Renner was taken to a nearby clinic by helicopter. His condition was described as critical but stable. After an operation, he was treated in the intensive care unit, it said.
