King Charles III has cracked down.
Charles III (74) is fed up with Prince Andrew (62). As the “Sun” reports, the British king has finally thrown his younger brother out of Buckingham Palace. “Any attendance at the palace is officially over,” a source said.
The Duke of York was no longer allowed to have an office in the building and was no longer allowed to give the address of the palace in future correspondence. ‘The king has made it clear. He is not an active royal. He’s on his own,” the source continues. The employees who remained there after his retirement from public service are now being laid off. He should be allowed to keep his home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor, for the time being.
Prince Andrew’s title went to Camilla
The news comes after Andrew’s cherished title of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards passed to King Consort Camilla, 75, on Wednesday. The prince fell out of favor for his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein abuse scandal (1953-2019). In February, Andrew paid up to 15 million francs to settle an abuse lawsuit brought by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre (39) in the United States – but without pleading guilty.
The case of Prince Andrew
Plaintiff Virginia Giuffre (38) accused Prince Andrew (62) in a civil case in the United States of having repeatedly sexually abused her as a minor. She stated that she was a victim of an abuse ring set up by US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) and his ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell (60) during this time.
Maxwell had previously been found guilty of several counts in a US criminal case and later sentenced to 20 years in prison. Epstein took his own life while in custody in 2019. Andrew categorically denied all allegations, in February 2022 he had reached an out-of-court agreement with Giuffre. He is said to have paid her the equivalent of 15 million francs, including an amount to her charitable foundation for victims of abuse.
Prince Andrew and Virigina Giuffre have now settled out of court.

He is currently recruiting a new communications team to salvage his reputation. However, he is expected to fund his staff himself. According to the «Telegraph», King Charles III is only responsible for the security costs. This is because the UK Home Office abolished Andrew’s armed security service this month. The costs that Charles is now supposed to bear amount to the equivalent of around 3.4 million francs a year. (bsn)
