US actor Jeremy Renner is in hospital after a snow plow accident.
After a snowstorm in the US ski resort of Tahoe, actor Jeremy Renner (51), known from Marvel films such as “The Avengers” and “Thor”, is in the hospital. The well-known Hollywood star was so badly injured while plowing snow on New Year’s Eve in Nevada that he had to be flown to the nearest hospital.
“Jeremy is in critical but stable condition,” his agent said in a statement, according to the Daily Mail. “He suffered injuries due to a weather-related accident while trying to clear the snow. His family is with him and he is being treated excellently.”
How the accident happened is not known
At the time of the accident, the “Hawkeye” actor was at his property near the “Mount Rose – Ski Tahoe” ski area, an eight-hour drive north of Las Vegas. There was a big snowstorm there on New Year’s Eve, and around a meter of fresh snow fell. As a result, the power went out in 35,000 houses. The hospital representative did not reveal exactly how Jeremy Renner injured himself and what type of injuries they were. However, the accident happened with one of Renner’s industrial snow plows on his ranch between Reno and Lake Tahoe.
The fact that Renner owns a snow plow has to do with his passion: he is a lover of heavy machinery and has a number of snow plows, which he uses to clear his long private driveway as well as streets and paths in his area.
War of the Roses with Ex-Wife
The film star, who has recently made headlines with the War of the Roses with his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco (31) and the custody battle over daughter Ava (9), is also involved in the community at the ski resort. He recently announced that he wants to set up his own fire station. (bang/imh)
