The new song “Flowers” by US pop star Miley Cyrus (30) breaks all records! After just one week, the current single on Spotify counted 100 million streams. Never before in the history of the audio platform has a track been listened to more than once in a single week. Spotify confirmed this in a message shared by Cyrus on Twitter. “Thank you Spotify and my amazing fans,” the singer wrote on her post. A week later, it’s already 200 million streams, another record.
In “Flowers” Miley Cyrus is processing her divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth (33), fans and US media are sure. The single, which is about self-love and self-determination after a broken heart, was released on January 13, on the Australian actor’s birthday. The couple had an on-off relationship for many years before getting married in late 2018. The two divorced about two years ago.
With her musical reckoning, Miley Cyrus is already giving a foretaste of her upcoming album «Endless Summer Vacation», which is due to be released on March 10th.
